Dare to Dream

Dare to Dream is located in the mountains of Virginia, in Highland County.  Dare to Dream’s breath-taking mountain setting provides a unique opportunity for participants to ride and experience the outdoors. Highland County is the least populated county in Virginia, and is the at highest mean elevation of any county east of the Mississippi River. It is ideal for those seeking solitude and a refreshing sense of freedom. Known for its pristine beauty and rural charm, Highland is characterized by high mountain pastures, stunning forests, and dark night skies. Our lessons are conducted outdoors, where we get to see amazing skies, and sometimes eagles, red-tailed hawks, deer or bear crossing a pasture. Our participants are inspired by nature while they are here, connecting with horses.  Imagine what it means to ride in our high mountain pasture where you can see for miles.
